Ubiquity Principals Barbara Gangi and Brian Oppenheimer

Barbara M. Gangi, Co-President, Ubiquity Pictures
Barbara Gangi works closely with partner, Brian Oppenheimer, developing television series, movies for television and theatrical films. She most recently produced “The Lost Valentine” starring Betty White and Jennifer Love Hewitt for Hallmark Hall of Fame which aired on CBS Network, January, 2011. A highly successful movie for television, “The Lost Valentine” took the night for CBS with 15.7 million viewers and scored the highest ratings in four years for Hallmark Hall of Fame.
Previously, Ms. Gangi served as Vice President of Development and Production for Paulist Productions. For ten years, she produced projects for ABC/Paramount Television, The History Channel, A&E and The Hallmark Channel.
Barbara Gangi began her career as a producer in the advertising industry. She worked as Senior Producer at Foote, Cone & Belding for many years, then as a freelance producer for Grey Advertising, Chiat/Day Advertising, Doyle, Dane Bernbach Worldwide and many other major agencies.
She produced award-winning campaigns for clients including Bristol-Myers, Mazda Motors, ABC Television Network, Toyota and Sea World. Her awards include three of the coveted CLIOs, one of which was for producing and directing campaigns featuring Orson Welles, James Earl Jones and Vincent Price.
Ms. Gangi is a long-time Blue Ribbon judge for The Humanitas Prize, The Angelus Student Film Festival and City of Angels Film Festival. She is an active member of The Producers Guild and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. A founding member of Catholics In Media Associates, Ms. Gangi currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Brian Oppenheimer, Co-President, Ubiquity Pictures
Writer/Producer Brian Oppenheimer collaborates with his partner, producer Barbara Gangi developing television series, movies for television and theatrical films. Currently Ubiquity Pictures has more than a dozen projects in the works.
Mr. Oppenheimer’s work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, on the stage and the small and large screen. He is the author of 13 screenplays — all optioned, commissioned, purchased and/or produced — and of 5 produced teleplays. He recently completed his first novel, Apotheosis.
He has collaborated on projects with Martin Sheen, Stacy Keach, Daniel Stern and many other notable actors. He has worked as a script doctor on numerous productions for Century Film partners, Cinecite Productions, Clive Turner Productions and Lone Runner Productions.
Mr. Oppenheimer is a judge on the Blue Ribbon panel of the prestigious Humanitas Prize and has also been a judge for the Malibu Film Festival and the Angelus Student Film Festival. He has produced the Catholics In Media Awards for over 10 years and is on the Board of Directors of the City of Angels Film Festival.
Brian lives in Malibu, California, with his wife, two sons and a very small dog.
